A collaborative art project has transformed the walls of our Community Mental Health Hub, bringing joy and calm to clients and staff alike. Several community groups were invited to create tiles at Sonoma Valley Museum of Art. These small but powerful works of personal art were then hung, mosaic-style, throughout the Hub. Artistic expression is healing for the individual and the collective. From early struggles to inspiring success, Roger Harrison's journey has cast a positive ripple affect throughout the Hanna community. Arriving at Hanna in 1963 at age 12, Roger found a safe haven. Through hard work and focus, he became Hanna's first Boy of the Year in 1966, pursued higher education with Hanna's support, and built a successful career in construction. Roger co-founded the Hanna Alumni Association in 1974, served as its president, and has helped numerous Hanna graduates find jobs. Now married for 50 years with a family of his own, Roger continues to support Hanna. "Hanna gives you opportunities, and I feel blessed to have taken advantage of them. Since I was given them, out of respect, I want to help pay that back."
