When asked what he's enjoying about his internship so far, he said, "Being an intern for Goodfellow Bros., I enjoy the environment the most. Everyone is super respectful and helpful. Drones are revolutionizing the construction industry by enhancing the speed, safety, and accuracy of surveying. By capturing high-quality aerial data, our teams can now map and analyze site conditions in real-time, ensuring precision throughout every phase of a project. “There are so many great stories I could share about my time with GBI, but there’s one that is especially meaningful to me. In 2021, I was assigned to work on Lāna‘i for two-and-a-half years. Admittedly, I wasn’t very excited about it at first. Not only is Lāna‘i a very small, sleepy town, but I also had to commute to the island by ferry every week and be away from home for days at a time. But our project team quickly built a sense of camaraderie and we made the very best of our situation. By motivating and energizing each other, we boosted morale and made the work exciting and fun. When my time on Lāna‘i came to an end, it was a bittersweet departure. While I was technically coming “home,” I was leaving behind an entire Lāna‘i family that had made that island feel like home for nearly three years. Like so many other GBI project teams, ours developed a close bond. The people I worked with on Lāna‘i—and the people I’ve worked with since—are more than my coworkers. They’re also my friends. I feel so fortunate to be able to say that when I go to work every morning, I’m going to work with my friends. I know it’s been said before, but if you ask me what I enjoy most about my job, it’s the amazing people I work with every day. That’s one of the many things that sets GBI apart from the rest—this company is a family. You’re not just a number or another name on an employee roster. Everyone is respected, valued, and appreciated individually. I believe GBI’s people-oriented culture helps each of us grow and thrive, both professionally and personally. That’s something I experienced firsthand on Lāna‘i, and it’s something I continue to see every day. My name is Daniel Goodfellow, Project Manager for the Maui Region… and I am proud to be a part of the Goodfellow family.” #WeAreGoodfellow #ContractorOfChoice #GBIfamily

The 2024 Top 25 Contractors Luncheon on June 26 was an event to remember, with food, laughter and accolades as we recognized Hawaiʻi’s construction industry for the successes of the last year. At the luncheon, 𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘐𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘏𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘪 was presented with a proclamation issued by Governor Josh Green, and read by event co-emcee McKenna Maduli, recognizing 𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘐𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘏𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘪, the Top 25 Contractors luncheon and the Carl and Christine Hebenstreit Education Fund, which is responsible for creating the master’s in Construction Management program Hawaii Pacific University. In addition, an official proclamation was issued by Mayor Rick Blangiardi, and read by Department of Planning and Permitting Director Takeuchi Dawn Apuna, declaring June 26, 2024, to be Building Industry Hawaii’s Top 25 Contractors Day. Both Mayor Blangiardi and Lieutenant Governor Sylvia Luke were in attendance at the luncheon, which serves as a fundraiser for the Carl and Christine Hebenstreit Education Fund. A huge mahalo to everyone who attended the luncheon. Your support is very much appreciated. #IndustryExcellence #FutureLeaders #Top25Hawaii2024 #TradeMediaHui #BuildingHawaii #HawaiiConstruction #BuildingIndustryHawaii #ConstructionTrends #ConstructionIndustry #Hawaii #Oahu
