Fifteen students and two professors from the University of Central Missouri served with Global Volunteers for two weeks in Kathmandu, Nepal. After this service-learning adventure with Global Volunteers, Sushil Thapa, Assistant Professor of Agronomy at the University of Central Missouri shared, "𝘞𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦, 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘦𝘧𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳." In an interview at FOX 17, 75-year-old Gordon Smith talks about his inspiring journey volunteering in the US and abroad, and the impact he had on the communities he served. With anticipation and excitement, Global Volunteers’ 113th volunteer team in Cuba embarked on an adventure in service. The team comprising eight dedicated volunteers, arrived in Havana ready to make a difference and served for two weeks.
