Last month, 60 members of our firm gathered for a team retreat at the MacDonald family farm. Both the moment and the space were a long time in the making, and we couldn’t be happier with how it all went.   The programming spanned from content-oriented sessions to experiential learning centered around horses. As community-oriented prey animals, horses are extraordinarily sensitive, emotionally intelligent beings. There's nothing you can force a 1,200-pound horse to do, but leading with authenticity, empathy and clear-eyed awareness of the energy between the two of you establishes trust with the horse, as well as an invitation for a working partnership. We’ve long believed in horses' ability to help people examine their own behaviors and become better leaders, and after a trip filled with revelatory moments, important business conversations and a lot of sunscreen, we're excited to let more clients experience it for themselves.   The farm is open for leadership and team retreats — reach out to Jennifer Swint to begin planning yours! 🐴
