Exciting opportunity to hear The Arava Institute for Environmental Studies Tareq Abu Hamed share the exciting work to bring water and humanitarian support to refugees in Gaza. Thank you Jennifer Laszlo Mizrahi Mizrahi Family Charitable Fund.
Last week, Dr. Tareq Abu Hamed addressed a group at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. His talk included the launch of the Arava Institute’s latest humanitarian initiative, "Jump Starting Hope in Gaza." EJewish Philanthropy has released an article covering the event. “The vast majority of people want peace, but they think the other side doesn’t want peace, and that’s because of the lack of communication between the two sides. This is the role of Arava Institute. We use science and the environment to bring people together. This shows how much trust plays an important role. Through the discussion of science, you give people the opportunity to see the human in one another.” – Dr. Tareq Abu Hamed, as quoted in EJewish Philanthropy.
