Our big announcement is ... our name is evolving from Together We Rise to Foster Love. Our mission, vision and various programs will remain the same. The only thing changing about our organization is the name. We decided to update our name to Foster Love as a way to put our mission forward. With the name Foster Love it is clear that we support foster youth, and we hope this shift will inspire more people to get involved. Foster Love is a 501(c)3 non-profit helping American youth in foster care through team building service-projects.
About us
Foster Love formerly Together We Rise is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised of motivated young adults and former foster youth. Our vision is to improve the lives of foster children in America, who often find themselves forgotten and neglected by the public. We collaborate with community partners to bring resources to foster youth and use service-learning and team building activities to educate corporate and individual volunteers on issues surrounding the foster care system. We work with hundreds of foster agencies, social workers, CASA advocates, and other partners to bring our programs to foster youth across the nation. Our foundation has allowed us to provide thousands of foster youth across the country with new bicycles, college supplies, and suitcases so that children do not have to travel from home to home with their belongings in a trash bag.

This #NationalInternDay I had the wonderful opportunity to host a volunteer event alongside other corporate responsibility interns Naya Tauil and Angel Tandon. We collaborated with Foster Love a non-profit organization advocating for children in foster care, to bring the Sweet Case Project to interns. This project focuses on providing children in foster care with custom-designed duffel bags containing essential items to ease their transitions during challenging times. For the past few weeks, we've been planning this event, and I'm thrilled with the success we achieved by uniting a community of volunteers to make a difference in the lives of many children. A big thank you to everyone who participated and helped us make this event a success. #NYLFoundation #NYLSummerinterns2024 #NYLVolunteersforGood
