Johanna's challenging journey inspired the creation of For People, after visiting a pro bono lawyer's office at just 15 with her cancer-stricken mother to file for medical bankruptcy. This journey ingrained in Johanna a commitment to fight for the underserved and disadvantaged, fueling For People's mission to deliver top-tier government digital services with zeal and humility.   📊 Today, For People specializes in building data ecosystems to derive important insights to help critical populations. They understand the diverse needs of users, from data analysts to policymakers, and tailor their data platforms to meet these specific needs. By integrating user research into their development process, they better empower users to explore and analyze data efficiently.   🤝 For People's significant contributions include building a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Medicaid Data Strategy, their engineering and product leadership roles on the CMS DataConnect contract, and important service design and human-centered design services on the MACBIS Human-Centered Design (HCDU) program, collaborating with major Medicaid and CHIP Business Information Solution (MACBIS) data systems to create a unified and user-focused design framework.   🌍 For People is a member of the Digital Services Coalition, a collective of agile technology and design firms dedicated to bringing digital service innovations to government work.
