About us
As an end-to-end space transportation company, Firefly Aerospace is on a mission to enable our world to launch, land, and operate in space – anywhere, anytime. Our small- to medium-lift launch vehicles, lunar landers, and orbital vehicles provide more affordable, responsive, and reliable space access for government and commercial customers. That’s a wrap on showcasing our BGM1 integrated payloads! Developed by The University of Maryland, Next Generation Lunar Retroreflector (NGLR) will determine the distance between Earth and the Moon by reflecting very short laser pulses from Earth and measuring the laser transit time to the Moon and back. Stay tuned in the upcoming months as we get closer to launching Blue Ghost Mission 1! #BlueGhost #FireflyAerospace

We’re honored to receive a supplier award for our work with Lockheed Martin! This plaque and coin are proudly displayed at Firefly as we prepare for our upcoming Alpha launch with Lockheed this year and many more missions ahead. Thank you for a great partnership!

As we celebrate National Moon Day, Firefly pays tribute to the Apollo 11 astronauts who stepped foot on the Moon 55 years ago today. The mission of Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin, and Michael Collins forever changed the landscape of space exploration and the human spirit. Firefly is proud to continue in their footsteps, starting with Blue Ghost Mission 1 launching later this year. #BlueGhost #ToTheMoon

Let's show off the next BGM1 integrated payload - Lunar Magnetotelluric Sounder (LMS) payload from the Southwest Research Institute! LMS will provide groundbreaking insights into the Moon's mantle by measuring electric and magnetic fields. This critical data will help us understand the Moon's temperature structure, thermal evolution, and how it has cooled and differentiated since its formation.

Miranda is making moves! Just 24 hours after completing a 60 second hot fire on our full length engine, the team nailed mission duty cycle at 206 seconds, matching the longest engine burn during flight. With this milestone behind us, we're setting the pace in bringing the new medium class of launch vehicles to market. Northrop Grumman

We have a few more integrated #BlueGhost payloads to show before we ship for environmental testing! Next up is the Lunar PlanetVac (LPV) developed by Honeybee Robotics, a Blue Origin Company. LPV will deploy to the Moon’s surface and demonstrate pneumatic sample collection of lunar regolith by collecting and sorting regolith within its sample collection chamber.
