FCA Management is pleased to announce the appointment of Janis Cowey as our Vice President of People and Culture. We eagerly anticipate the valuable contributions she will make to our expanding organization. Janis began her career in property management over 35 years ago as a leasing consultant and quickly moved her way up through the ranks to become a successful Community Director, then Regional Director. She has experience in student housing, conventional housing, midrise, high-rise, senior, affordable, lease-up and value add properties. During her time as a Community Director, she achieved her ARM and CPM designations through IREM thus moving her career forward. Her broad range of knowledge in operations and financial acumen landed her the role of Director of Education where she created all training curriculum, new hire on boarding process and career mapping for all new employees. The next step in her career was that of Director of Operational Excellence and Compliance where she was instrumental in crafting all policies and procedures, safety & risk programs as well as an internal audit division that measured the company’s performance, accuracy and compliance. Janis’ passion for people led her to become deeply involved with each company’s volunteer groups and spearhead many successful fundraisers and volunteer events large and small.
