Our services include: > Personalized strategy > Content creation > Data analysis & optimization Our unique process involves ex-McKinsey, BCG, Bain, and Accenture consultants who work with our clients to develop their strategy, efficiently create high-performing content, and use data to iterate and improve their content strategy. We have worked with 150+ CEOs and leaders to help them use LinkedIn to: > Build a brand > Fundraise > Hire & retain key talent > Acquire customers > Build partnerships Most executives don't realize four critical things about LinkedIn: #1: Individuals over companies On social media, people interact with other people, not faceless corporations. The most effective way to build a company’s brand is through the personal profiles of its key leaders. A post from an Executive leverages their existing network of other business leaders, and more efficiently builds trust. #2: Educate, don’t sell If an Executive only posts about their company, they will lose engagement. 80% of the content we produce is designed to educate, not sell. By consistently adding value through Subject Matter Expertise content, an Executive grows their audience to create greater reach for their rare company-centric posts. #3: Post original content Social networks reward original content. Articles drive content away from a social network and receive an algorithmic penalty. Reposts receive a fraction of the views of original content. Thought leadership is built through original, value-added content. #4: Post 2 to 5 times per week To grow an audience and be top-of-mind with your network.

Ever wondered about the monetary value of a LinkedIn presence? One of our clients could have had a multi-million dollar opportunity… if only they’d been posting more frequently a few months before they started. Remember: it’s all about consistency and staying top of mind.

CEO @ Executive Presence | LinkedIn Top Voice | We turn leaders into thought leaders

Procrastinating on building a LinkedIn presence cost my client a multi-million dollar opportunity. Last month, I met with one of our clients who’s a general partner at a VC firm. She was lamenting the fact that she’d missed an opportunity to invest with a promising startup. The painful irony is that she could have had a shot. This VC just started posting on LinkedIn. These posts caused a 1st degree founder to reach out to her to catch up. He shared that he just raised his Series A and felt awful he didn’t think to reach out to her before signing. He hadn’t dismissed her firm; he’d simply forgotten about them. Our client realized if she had started posting on LinkedIn just a few months earlier, she might have been top of mind with the founder and included in this funding round. If you’re not top-of-mind with your network, you’re missing out on valuable opportunities.

There’s a right way and wrong way to recycle your LinkedIn content: Here’s a simple guide to make sure you do it right: 1. The 5-Month Rule. After 5 months, your audience likely won’t remember your content. Start by revisiting your best posts from 5+ months ago and give them a fresh spin. 2. Minor Edits (or Not). Reposting word-for-word is perfectly fine. If you prefer, tweak a few words, but don’t stress over major changes. 3. Reframe the Message. If a post resonates, find a new angle to convey the same message. You can turn 1 top-performing post into 5 if you get creative! Recycling content not only saves time but also amplifies your most impactful messages. Content creation is hard, but it doesn’t have to be excruciatingly difficult. By recycling your greatest content hits, you can maximize their impact.

Most executives are hesitant to recycle their content. They believe their audience has a photographic memory when it comes to their previous posts. Even worse, they worry that someone will call them out for having posted the content before. Time for a reality check. Your audience likes you, but they’re not obsessed with you. People are busy with their own lives. They’re not keeping close track of what you posted in the past. Plus, if you’re using LinkedIn correctly, your audience is growing. Someone who started following you today hasn’t seen your content from 3, 6, or 12 months ago. Lastly, your audience isn’t on LinkedIn every day. They don’t see every post that you publish, due to both their activity and LinkedIn’s algorithm. All this to say, start recycling your best-performing content. It will save you time and amplify the impact of your most popular posts.

The average CEO posts 4 times a year on LinkedIn about the same boring topics: - Their latest media appearance - A promotion for their company’s latest product or service - Generic team photos - A company milestone or anniversary (without additional context) This promotional content gets stale quickly. Plus, it doesn’t offer your audience much value. Here are 6 ideas for better LinkedIn content: 1. Stories that unpack business failures. Be real with us – tell us what went wrong. 2. Stories of personal growth. Tell us how you learned from a mistake or the most recent constructive feedback you’ve received. 3. Industry or career playbooks. Break down the steps of a business process or a professional pathway. 4. Your tactics in action. So show us the specific systems, practices, or exercises you use to elevate your work. 5. Contrarian perspectives. Disagree and tell us why. 6. Culture in action. Showcase stories about your company values and culture. So stop posting boring content that only serves yourself. Be a leader we can learn from.

Celebrating company milestones is great, but don’t forget to recognize the people behind the success. Instead of just sharing the achievement, give credit where credit is due. Think about everyone who played a part: Who led a successful project? Who executed the work? Who suggested a brilliant idea in the first place? If you’ve got too many team members to tag in one post, break it down by department. Acknowledge the stellar communications team, the powerhouse engineering group, or the unstoppable sales force. Where possible, tie their contributions back to your company values. Share stories that not only celebrate individual achievements but also demonstrate how these actions align with your team’s mission and culture. Shine a spotlight on the contributors. Their success is your success.

Stop celebrating your team with generic compliments. Half-hearted praises such as “nice work” and “good job” can apply to anyone. Instead of these generic remarks, try to be specific when praising team members on LinkedIn. People feel the most valued when the praise is direct and precise. Next time you want to recognize a team member on LinkedIn, here are three things to include: 1. What did they do? Detail the actual task or accomplishment. 2. What impact did they have? Describe how their work positively impacted the organization. 3. What values/traits did they demonstrate? Outline their unique approach and style. Make your praise as great as their achievements - bland accolades don’t cut it.

Looking to expand the reach of your content? Look to the comment section. Many users focus solely on posting original content to expand their reach and miss key opportunities to engage with other LinkedIn members through commenting. But a single, strategic comment can garner more visibility than many posts. Here are three effective ways to leverage commenting: Target influential posts. Take 20 minutes to find users with 50,000+ followers and a similar audience to yours. Once you’ve located these people, bookmark them. Most influential people post consistently, so bookmarks allow you to see when they post and be among the first to comment. Sort your newsfeed to find posts that are both relevant and recent, which make great targets for commenting. It’s best if you stick to your own swim lane by commenting on familiar topics, and your comments will get the most visibility right after the posts go live. Be efficient. Start by dedicating 10 minutes a day to comment. Adding insightful thoughts to other people’s content can lead to increased relevance with (and reciprocation from) your audience. Don’t be afraid to reach out in the comments section. You never know what one comment can lead to!

Time and time again, our data has shown that LinkedIn rewards original content. And after the most recent algorithm update, we calculated that LinkedIn reposts receive a staggering 88% fewer likes than original content. Even when reposts are accompanied by your own thoughts and insights, they still reach fewer users and generate less engagement than net new posts. Top content creators on the platform recognize this - 98.9% of their content is original, and only 1.1% are reposts. Why does posting original content matter? Beyond the engagement rate, it’s important to establish your voice on LinkedIn. Original content resonates better with your audience and positions you as a thought leader who can offer unique perspectives in your industry. When it comes to LinkedIn, originality is your competitive edge.

How much can you say with 1,050 characters? If you use your words wisely, you can say a great deal. 1,050 characters - or around 200 words - is the average length of top-performing LinkedIn posts. This statistic demonstrates that LinkedIn users value deep insights over brevity. While you shouldn’t be afraid to show off your writing skills, it’s also important that your posts are digestible. Stay away from lengthy paragraphs. Instead, opt for simple sentence structure and skimmable blocks of text. This format is popular on LinkedIn and enhances readability for users, especially on mobile. If you want to be brief, go to X. But if you want in-depth insights, stay on LinkedIn.
