Sunday is World Hepatitis Day. Hepatitis, especially hep C, can carry a stigma, which can make it even harder for already marginalized groups to be vocal about the virus. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, an estimated 53% of people who inject drugs have been infected with the hepatitis C virus. But what happens when you belong to a specific community — and the hepatitis C community, too?
