CI/CD: Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery each serve an important function in a larger DevOps process, both individually and together as CI/CD. In a mature DevOps environment, CI/CD not only streamlines the development process, but allows for much more agile code deployment, with updates occurring as often as you like — you can push new releases hourly if you want. If you manage a fleet of edge devices, and say, need to update a computer vision model or small language model on those devices, repeatable and predictable updates are clutch. Take a look at our article that gives an overview of CI/CD and how it relates to device management and software deployment, and come talk to us about the Esper platform if you want to be confident your updates are getting deployed as intended: https://hubs.la/Q02Jrz3-0 #DevOps #EdgeAI

Seamless Provisioning: One more way Esper can make your life easier Seamless Provisioning is a way to bake the provisioning process directly into your Android build so it happens automatically at first boot. With Seamless Provisioning, Esper works with whoever builds the OS — whether that’s you or the device manufacturer — to integrate the Seamless Provisioning Repository into the OS (this is natively supported in Esper Foundation for Android). Additionally, we make sure that the Esper agent running on the device receives the appropriate permissions required to function automatically on boot. Read more about this often-requested feature here: https://hubs.la/Q02H-4g-0

From x86 to ARM to RISC-V This week, we’ve taken a look at x86, ARM, and now RISC-V. RISC-V is an instruction set architecture, or ISA — what you could call a “blueprint” for running code on a computer processor. What makes RISC-V notable? Two things: It’s open source, and it’s a (relatively) new entrant in a space with very little active competition. Get an overview of RISC-V and its history here: https://hubs.la/Q02HSp-h0
