“I chose a career in healthcare because I love helping others and have an interest in science, medicine and technology. It has been very rewarding to watch MRI technology evolve over the years and get to be a part of that. I’ve learned that communication is key with patients, especially those who are anxious! It’s not unusual to encounter a patient that is nervous about their pending results or who is claustrophobic. After a thorough explanation of the exam, I make sure to get them positioned as comfortable as I can, offering extra pillows and cushions. Even just 5 minutes in an MRI machine can feel like a very long time, so I always make sure to communicate to my patient how long each set of images will take, all the while reassuring them that they are doing a great job.” -Kinga Wierzba, MRI Technologist If you are driven to exceed expectations and challenge yourself every day, consider joining the Duly team today: https://bit.ly/3GXYqtE #MRISafetyWeek #HealthcareJobs #Healthcare #Hiring

“My journey into healthcare began in 2016 when my mom was battling breast cancer. I stood by her side through chemotherapy visits, imaging appointments, and her care at home. Witnessing the critical role of imaging in her diagnosis sparked my interest in the field. In November 2022, I began my MRI career at Duly. I truly believe I have found the career I was meant for, and I strive to bring a deep sense of empathy to my patients every day. What I enjoy most about my job as an MRI tech is that there is always an opportunity to learn something new. Since starting my MRI career with Duly in 2022, I've gained a wealth of knowledge. Initially, I had experience with only one MRI machine and limited knowledge of abdomen, breast, and prostate scans. Now, I am proficient with three different MRI scanners and confident in performing body MRIs and breast biopsies. A year ago, I was given the opportunity to learn Breast MRI biopsies, and I love the impact I can make by easing patients' stress and anxiety during the procedure. My hardworking coworkers and our strong teamwork make the job even more rewarding. I truly appreciate the crucial role imaging plays in the diagnosis process, and my experience of witnessing my mom battle cancer has instilled in me a deep sense of empathy and sympathy for my patients and their families.” - Alexa Nicastro, MRI Technologist If you are driven to exceed expectations and challenge yourself every day, consider joining the Duly team today: https://bit.ly/3GXYqtE #MRISafetyWeek #HealthcareJobs #Healthcare #Hiring

“My mother encouraged me to become a nurse. She wanted me to pursue a career that would allow me to support myself as a woman. As a nurse, I found a job that allowed me to support myself and my son and presented various professional growth and development opportunities. Nursing offers a wide variety of career paths. For instance, after 30 years as a labor and delivery nurse working with high-risk OB patients and being a clinical manager, I've been able to step into the role of a manager with the Duly Health and Care Risk Management Team. My nursing expertise gave me the clinical insight necessary for effective risk evaluation and resolution recommendations. I'm not sure that many people start their careers looking to become involved in Risk Management. I think many healthcare workers want to be as minimally involved with Risk Management as possible. When you shift your focus from reactive to proactive risk management, the possibilities for effective changes in healthcare are endless. It's a unique opportunity in healthcare to learn and do better with the knowledge and experience that come from less-than-ideal circumstances and mistakes. From that aspect, I would say, don't be afraid of mistakes and errors; you can learn from them and do better”. -Kimberly Beckwith, Health Risk Management If you’re looking for the next step in your career journey and work tirelessly to go above and beyond for your team and patients, consider joining the Duly team today: https://bit.ly/3GXYqtE

This afternoon, our Interim Value-Based Care Chief Medical Officer, Mathew Philip, MD, testified at the United States House Committee on Ways and Means Health Subcommittee Hearing on Improving Value-Based Care for Patients and Providers. Dr. Philip highlighted the significant benefits of value-based care payment models, which promote preventive care and early, coordinated interventions. These models are instrumental in lowering healthcare spending and enhancing our patients’ and communities’ health and wellness. He particularly emphasized the positive impact value-based care payment models can have on rural communities, where access to preventive care and healthcare choices is limited, leading to higher mortality rates. In his testimony, Dr. Philip made several recommendations to the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to reduce barriers for patients and encourage broader participation by health systems in value-based care. We are proud of Dr. Philip’s contributions and remain committed to advancing healthcare in our communities and throughout the country. Today, we are celebrating Juneteenth, a day commemorating the liberation of the last remaining enslaved African Americans in the US on June 19, 1865. Our Duly team had the outstanding opportunity to join the influential small business leader and radio personality Margaret Jackson, honoring the Black and African American people who have come before and celebrating the accomplishments of the millions of exceptional Black and African American people who continue their legacy. Happy Juneteenth!
