We are excited to share that The Wall Street Journal’s essential, in-depth, investigative reporting has been recognized with two News & Documentary Emmy Award nominations. The Journal was nominated in the Outstanding Investigative News Coverage: Long Form category for "Shadow Men: Inside Wagner, Russia's Secret War Company,” the gripping documentary on the Wagner Group, a paramilitary group that was led by Yevgeny Prigozhin, an oligarch and onetime associate of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Additionally, "Wanted: The Escape of Carlos Ghosn" is nominated in the Outstanding Crime and Justice Documentary category. This blockbuster documentary from Apple TV+ is based on WSJ’s reporters Nick Kostov and Sean McLain’s exclusive journalism that spurred one of the most closely followed global news stories about the former Nissan and Renault executive’s escape from Japanese authorities. Congratulations to everyone involved! Watch “Shadow Men” https://lnkd.in/eBFW-EdD: and “Wanted” here: https://lnkd.in/dSzJ38wt

Culture is an organization’s most important asset. But culture isn’t what it used to be. Companies are having to think differently and more innovatively about how they build cultures where their people can thrive. Progressive HR functions are leading the way, blending a deep understanding of people with a creative mindset that is experimental, agile, and grounded in design thinking. Join our conversation on July 10th to hear from leading CPOs about a new approach to building strong cultures. This week, 25 countries signed on to a Media Freedom Coalition letter condemning the sham trial of our colleague, WSJ reporter Evan Gershkovich, saying “Mr. Gershkovich’s case is, unfortunately, illustrative of the Kremlin’s choice to launch a systematic assault on media freedom rather than allow honest reporting on its crimes in Ukraine and its repression at home.” Evan has been wrongfully detained for 469 days–with each day an outrage and an affront to press freedom. We will not rest until Evan is home. Read the letter here: https://lnkd.in/eWDxuA7J #IStandWithEvan #JournalismIsNotACrime
