Rotating tires helps distribute wear more evenly across the tread. This is especially important for semi-trucks and feedlot vehicles because: -Uneven weight distribution: Semi-trucks don't always carry a perfectly balanced load, and feedlot vehicles often travel on uneven terrain. Rotation helps compensate for these imbalances. -Drive axle wear: The drive axles on semi-trucks and some feedlot equipment experience the most wear due to the power they transmit. Regular rotation helps spread that wear to other axles. Here's a general recommendation for rotation frequency: -Semi-trucks: Every 5,000 to 7,000 miles -Feedlot equipment: Consult your equipment manufacturer's recommendations, but every other oil change (around 250 hours) is a good starting point. ABCs of Tire Safety: Be a Savvy Driver This Summer A: Alignment: Proper alignment ensures your tires wear evenly and last longer. Misalignment can cause your tires to pull to one side and wear unevenly on the edges. B: Balance: Balanced tires prevent vibrations while driving.  An unbalanced tire can cause a shaky steering wheel, uneven wear, and reduced fuel efficiency. C: Pressure: Maintaining the correct tire pressure is crucial for safety and performance. Underinflated tires wear unevenly, decrease fuel efficiency, and are more prone to blowouts. Overinflated tires can reduce traction and make your ride less comfortable.
