#GranteeSpotlight: The Elizabeth Park Conservancy was formed in 1977 by a small group of dedicated neighbors, to save the historic rose garden from almost certain demolition. Currently, the Conservancy hosts events and educational programs for the public, including Rose Weekend, to celebrate the Park and the community with music, tours, and family activities. During this year's Rose Weekend (which took place on June 15th), the Elizabeth Park Conservancy was pleased to work with "The Friends and Enemies of Wallace Stevens" for the annual "Poets in the Park" reading. Invited poets included Frederick-Douglass Knowles II, Cristina J. Baptista, and Aaron Caycedo-Kimura, who each gave a 30-45 minute reading from their work, followed by a Q&A session with the audience. Learn more at https://lnkd.in/gZzKNycD
