CSS - Community Security Service

The CSS had an extensive security presence with dozens of trained volunteers alongside law enforcement and UJA-Federation of New York and #JCRC-NY’s #CSI led by Mitch Silber to keep the Jewish community safe at Sunday’s Israel Day Parade in Manhattan. The CSS - Community Security Service is laser focused on training the #Jewish community to be more empowered and proactive in organizing their own security and safety, particularly post Oct. 7. CSS was joined by JTA's Luke Tress at our annual seminar for an opportunity to tell the story of how regular community members are volunteering to provide security and protect the Jewish way of life. Our CEO Richard Priem connected with The Record to discuss NJOHSP’s latest initiative to equip #NewJersey houses of worship with kits that contain emergency supplies in the event of an attack. "We have seen an unprecedented uptick in antisemitic incidents since the Oct. 7 attacks in Israel, including those that directly affected synagogues in our network. Although our priority remains to work with law enforcement on preventing serious incidents from materializing, increasing our institutions' preparedness for active threat situations with these medical kits is an important and welcome step as well.” Full story below 👇 https://lnkd.in/eC5JKTyB
