Get to know Scott Spann, senior vice president of operations for CoralTree Hospitality. Scott is responsible for the operational support for CoralTree properties providing strategic insight to property leadership to deliver ownership value, guest experience, and team member satisfaction. His travel inspiration began with childhood vacations in his home state of Texas, which were focused around visiting family members throughout the region, but he was eager to venture out and see the world. He saw hospitality as a means to travel and explore new places, and as soon as he turned twenty-one, he moved from Austin to Washington, D.C. to explore the East Coast and grow his career, which has taken him to major markets throughout U.S. Scott started his career in hospitality as the president/COO of Tiburon Hospitality Management in Carefree, Ariz. He went on to serve in several general manager positions, including The Chattanoogan, Skamania Lodge, and Suncadia Resort; in each, his leadership was instrumental in positioning assets, increasing property management revenue, rebuilding organizational trust, launching marketing campaigns and building teams to deliver exceptional experiential guest journeys. Before joining CoralTree in September 2020, he served as the vice president of hospitality for Howard Hughes Hospitality, with a portfolio that included the Woodlands hotel portfolio, as well as multiple new development projects His passion for travel personally revolves around exploring the local food scene—the more local and authentic, the better. “I like finding the local community restaurants that reflect the true nature of the place,” he admits. Each year, Scott and the friends in his travel group pick a destination, building forever friendships through shared travel experiences. It’s that cultivation of connection to people and place that define Spann’s leadership and ability to successfully gain market share and deliver outstanding financial performance. #teammembers #hotelmanagement #hospitality #hospitalitymanagment

Yesterday, Hotel Polaris at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs hosted a sneak preview of the new hotel, which is scheduled to open in November. General Manager Curtis Bova, CoralTree Hospitality President Tom Luersen and Visit Colorado Springs President and Chief Executive Officer Doug Price provided insights into the hotel including a construction update and the economic impacts of the exciting project. After presentations, guests were invited into the hotel to see how construction is progressing. In the spirit of its landmark location, the 375-room resort-style hotel promises to be an ever-modern experience where the grandeur and magnitude of the Academy and Rocky Mountains are accessible to all visitors. Hotel Polaris is located adjacent to the Academy and in the shadow of the 14,115-foot Pikes Peak. The hotel is part of a mixed-use development that includes the Academy’s new 32,000-square-foot Hosmer Visitor Center. The Barry Goldwater Visitor Center, opened in 1986, is a 10-minute drive inside the Academy from the North Gate. The new location will provide easier access to visitors and become more than a public entrance to the Academy, it also will be a gateway to Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak Region. Look for more updates as Hotel Polaris takes flight in November! #newhotel #constructionupdate #hotelmanagement #hospitality #hospitalitymanagement

A good design is essential in hotel guest corridors as it sets the tone for the overall guest experience, creating a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing environment. High-quality Axminster carpets are particularly valuable in these spaces due to their durability, luxurious feel, and ability to withstand heavy foot traffic while maintaining their appearance. Their intricate designs and vibrant colors contribute to a sophisticated ambiance, enhancing the hotel's brand image and ensuring lasting comfort for guests. CoralTree DDS teamed up with Hilpipre Design, Stout Street Hospitality and Couristan Carpet to create a timeless carpet design that pays homage to the historic building it resides in while seamlessly integrating elements that reflect the hotel's branding. #CoralTreeDesign+DevelopmentServices #HilpipreDesignStudio #StoutStreetHospitality #MagnoliaHotelDenver #CouristanCarpet #AxminsterCarpet #Partnerships #Design&Durability
