Technology keeps on evolving and Columbia University Technology Management promises to keep evolving and innovating with it.
“Tech leadership demands constant learning and adaptation,” says Dr. Alexis Wichowski, director of the Columbia University Technology Management graduate program. As technology continues to redefine operations, a paradigm shift has occurred. Previously, strategy and policy preceded execution. Today, execution leads, followed by strategy, with policy lagging behind. This evolution underscores technology’s pivotal role as a catalyst for innovation, growth, and risk, and the Technology Management program curriculum has been revised to keep up with industry innovations. Columbia University Technology Management program welcomes Professor Allan Chochinov. The students are eagerly looking forward to learn and innovate in this class.
A quick note to share that I will be teaching a "Practices in Design & Innovation" class at the Columbia University Technology Management program this coming fall, and could not be more excited. It's been a rewarding challenge to put together a kind of mashup crash-course in design methods, studio sprints, and incredible guest lecturers, and I can't wait to see how it plays out starting in September. Huge thanks to Art Chang (he/him), Alexis Wichowski, and Katherine Benjamin for all their guidance and enthusiasm, Liz Pickard and Neil Windsor for essential backup, and Trace Wax and Rudy R. Rodriguez for invaluable tactical wisdom. Critically, my enormous appreciation goes out to Robert Fabricant for setting this all in motion—I am deeply grateful. Anyway, the algorithm got away from me on Monday when updating my profile, so I wanted to post a formal share with explicit gratitude to these very special people.
