Job searching can be soul-crushing. After spending 5 months looking for a summer internship, applying to roughly 100 positions and only receiving one interview, I was extremely demotivated. I had to return to a job I told myself I would never go back to. I started listening to podcasts again while I worked. I began listening to Code Newbie, which I hadn't listened to since I started college. Hearing the success stories of other career changers gave me motivation and pushed me to find ways I could make it easier to find an internship next summer and my first junior developer job after that. I have to give a huge shout-out to Saron Yitbarek, the host of Code Newbie, and all of the guests for motivating job seekers like myself.
