Together, we can accomplish important work: Like taking care of patients – while we take care of each other. To highlight these efforts, we recently celebrated Team Appreciation Week at Coastal Urgent Care. The week brought opportunities for light-hearted fun and shared meals as well as for the presentation of meaningful awards for team members. We celebrated each member of the Coastal Urgent Care team for their unflagging commitment, expertise and the effort that goes into treating you well every day, all year long. On top of that, we offered praise and recognition for team members who earned “Culture & Values Champion Awards”. Categories included: Quality, Teamwork, Integrity, Humility and Accountability. This semi-annual activity reminds us to always attend to our shared values, which take us beyond the ordinary metrics of a day at work, into meaningful service. Today is Juneteenth, a time to commemorate this date in 1865, when enslaved Black people in Texas were finally informed of their freedom more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.
