  • We get such satisfaction from caring for each patient who walks into our urgent care clinic that kudos aren’t essential. But let’s be honest: Patient notes and reviews like this really make our day! “Honestly the best urgent care experience I’ve ever had! Everyone was very nice and helpful. Even though I was as walk-in at the end of the day right before closing, they took their time with me and validated my concerns. Offered me treatment and advice previous urgent cares had not. I could not be happier. Will return in the future.” – a Baton Rouge Patient #reviewsmatter #teamwork #urgentcare

  • The 4th of July is almost always a scorcher and it is easy to lose track of time spent in the sun when you're having fun. So start today off right -- have a plan to seek shade and hydrate at least once every hour. For more about heat-related illnesses and dehydration, check out our blog posts: https://lnkd.in/gn28wbqZ and https://lnkd.in/gBRw2suf Now go have fun! From all of us at Coastal Urgent Care, Happy Independence Day! #hydrate #celebratesafely #urgentcare

  • Together, we can accomplish important work: Like taking care of patients – while we take care of each other. To highlight these efforts, we recently celebrated Team Appreciation Week at Coastal Urgent Care. The week brought opportunities for light-hearted fun and shared meals as well as for the presentation of meaningful awards for team members. We celebrated each member of the Coastal Urgent Care team for their unflagging commitment, expertise and the effort that goes into treating you well every day, all year long. On top of that, we offered praise and recognition for team members who earned “Culture & Values Champion Awards”. Categories included: Quality, Teamwork, Integrity, Humility and Accountability. This semi-annual activity reminds us to always attend to our shared values, which take us beyond the ordinary metrics of a day at work, into meaningful service. Thank you to everyone who participated in the celebrations! Pictured with the team: Humility Champion Teresa Freeman, MA from our Slidell clinic. • Today is Juneteenth, a time to commemorate this date in 1865, when enslaved Black people in Texas were finally informed of their freedom more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. We hope you will join us in celebrating Black freedom and resilience today, while recognizing that learning from our imperfect history gives us the opportunity to build a more just and equitable future for all.   Learn more about Juneteenth and African American history and culture on the National Museum of African American History & Culture website: https://nmaahc.si.edu/ or watch this video about the history of Juneteenth from TED-Ed: https://lnkd.in/gH7mfT5c #juneteenth #coastaluc

  • June is dedicated to emphasizing the health and wellbeing of men. Despite all jokes about “man colds,” men commonly postpone a trip to a medical clinic, citing that ‘it’s not that bad’ and hoping the concern will self-resolve. But after seeing thousands of unnecessarily miserable men in our Coastal Urgent Care clinics we’re here to encourage you to come see us sooner! There’s no need to be tough – especially if it’s going to require medical care eventually, anyway. Be easier on yourself. Let us take care of you. coastaluc.com #urgentcare #mancold #menshealthmonth

  • We’re celebrating Pride Month by reasserting our commitment to caring for and celebrating each person in the LGBTQ+ community. As employers and health care providers this means we: 1. Recognize the contributions LGBTQ+ team members make to our organization every day – and have made for many years.    2. Dedicate ourselves to building and maintaining a culture and environment in which everyone is comfortable being their authentic self at work. 3. Acknowledge an additional responsibility to understand and address the health disparities faced by our LGBTQ+ patients. These disparities are often exacerbated by the challenges LGBTQ+ individuals face in accessing care.   At Coastal Urgent Care, we will never discriminate against, refuse care or provide lesser treatment to any individual who comes to us for help. We are united by our compassion, kindness and commitment to providing care that is personal to every one of our patients. CoastalUC.com #pridemonth #urgentcare #coastaluc

  • Reviews matter! We read each and every comment you make. Here is one that made our work especially worthwhile. We're grateful for the trust you place in us. “I was on a business trip and had an ear issue. I searched for clinics in the area and decided to go before my training. Glad I did, they resolved my issue and got me on my way. Everyone there was friendly and concerned. Wish they were in my town.” #teamwork #patientcare #reviewsmatter #urgentcare #coastalurgentcare
