Protecting the innocence of children through technology

About us

At Child Rescue Coalition, our mission is to protect all children from sexual exploitation through our innovative technology, law enforcement partnerships, and international collaborations. Our technology is the most successful tool of its kind; provided at no cost to law enforcement for proactively detecting, identifying, and prosecuting those who prey on children. We have officers trained in 102 countries around the world. We can directly attribute more than 11,000 arrests and the rescue of more than 2,500 children from abusive situations to the use of our technology. CRC was inducted into the Virtual Global Taskforce in December 2015 CRC won selection into FAU's Tech Runway program in 2015 for go-to-market support of a forensic tool automating the retrieval of deleted abuse imagery from offender devices. Child Rescue Coalition is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

  • Have you heard the term "love bombing"? It's when someone shows extreme attention and affection faster than what would be normal or expected. This is often a tactic sexual offenders use to groom kids AND their families. On #LoveIsKindDay, remember, real love isn't abusive, violent, or uncomfortable -- and if someone uses love as their excuse to hurt you, it's not real love. Get more tips and learn to recognize the warning signs of grooming on our blog: https://lnkd.in/esUtZzQB

  • A South Florida middle school teacher, who also works at a summer camp, is accused of possessing child sexual abuse material. Deputies began looking into Quinton Isaiah Womack Wedlaw, 25, after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that he had uploaded child sexual abuse material. More than 25 files were found, ten of which were videos depicting 10-12 year old children being sexually abused. It's unclear if Womack Wedlaw created any of the files found on his device. He now faces 10 felony charges. Cases like this demonstrate the importance of speaking up! If you suspect or come into contact with exploitative or abusive child content, please report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children via their CyberTipline - report.cybertip.org. • ARREST ALERT CRC Technology aided in two arrests by the Federal Police of Campinas, Brazil. Four search and seizure warrants were issued; and as a result, two men, one in Jardim Chapadão and one in Campos Elíseos, were arrested for possessing child sexual abuse material. The suspects are awaiting sentencing. In Brazil, the penalty can be up to 10 years in prison. Thanks to our Brazilian partners for their continued dedication to the protection of children. We’re proud of our law enforcement colleagues for taking bold steps to fight child sexual abuse and exploitation — and we’re honored that our technology aids in the identification of these dangerous criminals. Cases like this are made possible by our amazing supporters! Child Rescue Coalition is able to aid in the rescue of innocent children from horrific situations and work alongside law enforcement officers who dedicate their own lives to protecting children worldwide. • What can you do to keep your kids safer on social media? According to our director of training, Jay Houston, parents should be doing these two things before posting: 1. PAUSE before posting anything online. Consider your child's preferences about what's shared about them publicly and the eternal nature of social media. 2. Ensure that you ask permission from the parents of ALL children visible in the photo before posting. Group photos are great, but every parent may not consent to their child being posted online -- especially if they don't know your privacy settings or followers. • Did you know that child sexual offenders are live-streaming the sexual abuse of children for other offenders to view online? It's called live distance child abuse (LDCA), and it's happening in communities all around us. For less than the cost of your favorite streaming service, these offenders can tune in to view (and in many cases, direct) the live abuse of real children around the world. That's why our technology -- which identifies these offenders online and enables law enforcement to take action -- is so critical. If you'd like to stand with us in the fight against this horrific abuse, consider joining our Coalition Club. For just $25/month, you'll be part of the work that counteracts these crimes and makes the world a safer place to be a kid. Join today: https://lnkd.in/gnsWWKqR

  • Law enforcement discovered that Roman Shoffner, 30, had used an artificial intelligence program to alter a photograph of a 17-year-old girl by digitally removing her clothing. In Texas, laws prohibit anyone from possessing child sexual abuse material, and a 2023 amendment made it so modified images are included in the legislation. According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited children, they had 4,700 reports of AI modified child sexual abuse material to their tip line in 2023. Artificial intelligence has become a powerful force, changing how we live and communicate. With AI's advancements and challenges, it's important to understand how it might affect our children's well-being as we move forward. • In a recent sprint hosted by Europol, Child Rescue Coalition, in collaboration with 32 investigators and child protection partners, took part in a week-long operation targeting the highest harm offenders in the child abuse space where 197 buyers were identified. Child Rescue Coalition's technology was able to help law enforcement partners identify and investigate live streaming offenders and deconflict their efforts. We know that there are tens of thousands of LDCA (live distance child abuse) happening around the world and each offender can be responsible for sexually abusing children a countless number of times. "I am thankful for the opportunity to have represented CRC at the Europol sprint. Training and working with such dedicated professionals whose mission is to safeguard children and arrest high harm offenders is such an honor. Putting CRC’s technology in the hands of this global coalition of law enforcement officers will make a significant impact in the fight against LDCA." - Michael McGonigle, CRC's Director of Special Projects and Industry Outreach We are grateful and value the work being done together, with HSI, Tim Tebow Foundation, ICMEC and worldwide law enforcement partners to rescue and protect innocent children worldwide.
