Congratulations to the 2024 Butterball interns for their hard work and dedication. Throughout the summer, the intern program connected, developed and grew personal and professional experiences through presentations, development sessions and social events. The 2024 Internship program was created with the theme “Discover Your Purpose" in mind. This meaningful theme encompasses five sub-themes: career exploration, development, experiences, networking and at the center, familiarization with Butterball. Deliberately chosen, these uniquely curated themes shaped each intern event to provide the cohort with an internationally purposeful summer program. This week, the Butterball Careers Page Blog is highlighting the internship program: https://lnkd.in/eJShM6zs #Intern #Internship #SummerProgram #DiscoverYourPurpose #CareerDevelopment

Supply Chain Management Intern @ Butterball | Industrial & Systems Engineering Student @ Texas A&M University

As my second summer with Butterball comes to a close in a few weeks, I want to reflect on challenges I endured and the achievements I obtained over the course of the past 10 weeks, as well as give thanks to the people that made everything possible. First and foremost, I would like to thank Suzanne Francisco Smith, Emily DePalmo, Bill Baker, MBA, Debora P., and the rest of the Supply Chain team for giving me this opportunity and allowing me to explore the world of supply chain. Once again, I feel blessed to be a part of the Butterball family. While I can't go into specifics, I'm happy to share that, in the future, my project will help optimize the scheduling process, increase its' reliability, and, in general, simplify the process for the scheduling team. Finally, I want to thank my fellow interns for the memories that we created, the accountability that we shared, and the friendships that we curated.

    Graduate Assistant and R&D Intern

Last week on #NationalInternDay I was able to present my summer project about weight optimization to the entire organization. It was an amazing experience to share my findings cross-functionally and with executives. I also loved learning what other interns were working on this summer! My second summer as an R&D intern at Butterball, LLC was a renowned success! I want to thank my manager Jacques Jandrain for welcoming me back to the R&D team. I gained so much experience working alongside other R&D Food Scientists, Dominica Cook and Sydney Deloatch. I had an AMAZING group of interns to work with both in the corporate office and in the plant! Thank you to Emily DePalmo and Debora P. for this opportunity. It was truly an invaluable experience!

I am deeply thankful for the invaluable opportunities and exceptional leadership provided by Butterball. A special shoutout to Bill Baker, MBA, Emily DePalmo and Debora P. for their mentorship and commitment to the internship program. Thank you to my fellow interns for your welcoming energy and positive attitudes. I am excited to witness your future achievements. I am excited to announce that my internship is evolving into a part-time role! The enriching experiences I had this summer fuel my enthusiasm to contribute further to the Talent Acquisitions Team under the leadership of Mishlee Fernandez Gomez and Heather Bradshaw. Mishlee and Heather offered incredible support and insight this summer. Industrial Engineering Student at Clemson University | Continuous Improvement Intern at Butterball

Thank you Butterball, LLC for a great summer internship experience! My time working in Continuous Improvement at the Raeford plant taught me lot about the manufacturing industry. Not only did I complete my internship, but I had the opportunity to step in as the plant CI Specialist for the last 2 months. This was an enriching experience that allowed me to implement new strategies to improve production. I would also like to thank all the great people I worked with this summer, especially Govinda Koirala, Shakira Townsend, the rest of the CI department, and my fellow interns.
