Sandra Peters Sandra Peterson joined Burke & Herbert Bank as a temporary employee in April 1999. She soon transitioned to a full-time role as a Securities Processor, a key position within the Bank’s Wealth Management division. Today, Sandi plays an integral role in nearly all aspects of Trust operations. Due to her meticulous handling of client funds and exceptional organizational skills, Sandi has been appointed Administrator of the Burke & Herbert Bank Medallion Program. Please join us in congratulating and thanking Sandi for her loyalty and dedication to the Bank!

Ethan Marting wrapped up his summer internship at the Bank with a presentation to senior management. Ethan is part of Virginia Tech's Blackwood Department of Real Estate entering his senior year. He mentored with several bankers this summer, including Roth Carroll and Charles Akers who serve on the Blackwood Advisory Board, as well as Greg Mellors, Yanni Farmakides, and Jeff Rouse. We were honored to have such a dedicated intern and delighted to play a role in advancing his future. Congratulations to all the interns participating with Virginia Bankers Association intern program and Virginia Intern Day! Best wishes Ethan!

We were proud to be a Warrior Sponsor for the Serve Our Willing Warriors' 5th annual Vettes for Vets car show in Haymarket, VA this past Saturday. The event was a tremendous success, with hundreds of attendees and over 100 classic cars. We also enjoyed valuable interactions with attendees and fellow sponsors. Congratulations on 20 Years of Service! Eddie’s impressive career began in the Bank’s branch network before he made the move to Deposit Operations in 2017. Eddie served as the Items Processing Assistant Manager for four years before being promoted to Department Manager in 2021. Eddie’s proactive approach to leadership has been instrumental in managing one of the largest departments in the Operations area. Committed to continuous learning, Eddie has completed several leadership development programs and is currently attending our prestigious Leadership Exploration & Development (LEAD) program, designed to deepen skills and expand competencies among team members in leadership roles. His efforts have led to increased efficiency, new systems, and an improved customer experience. He has also nurtured the next generation of rising stars.
