Growing up in a small German town, Sibylle “Billie” Shrock, BSN, RN, team lead for the Patient Navigation Team at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple, did not envision all the opportunities she’d have in America. Billie met her husband in Germany and immigrated to the United States when they married. She became a permanent US resident in 2006, a year after her husband retired from the military. After many years working on military bases, her career in healthcare began in 2008 in an administrative role. Billie now cherishes the opportunity to help nurses from around the world thrive at Baylor Scott & White – Temple through the system’s Internationally Educated Nurse program. 🐾 Raising future heroes: Meet Jennifer Milinsky and Josephine 🐾 When she’s not managing revenue cycles, Jennifer Milinsky dedicates her time to an extraordinary cause—raising puppies for Canine Companions. Currently, she’s nurturing a Labrador retriever named Josephine, or Jo for short, who joined her life at just 10 weeks old. Jennifer’s goal is to prepare Jo for a future as a service or facility dog. One of Jo’s favorite activities is accompanying Jennifer to work at the Baylor Scott & White Administrative Center in Dallas, where she enjoys attention and socialization. They also attend puppy classes to learn basic skills and manners, with Jennifer providing lots of love and care. Come August, Jo will head to professional training at the Canine Companions at Baylor Scott & White Health – Kinkeade Campus in Irving.
