Claire offered the following comments on her appointment: ‘I feel honoured to work with BIALL and to serve as its President for the 2024/25 term. Having been a BIALL member for many years I am aware of the great work carried out by this association. I never cease to be amazed by the collective talent and experience of BIALL members. The association is a friendly and supportive network of professionals run by volunteers. I would encourage anyone thinking of becoming involved with BIALL to volunteer, it is a truly rewarding and worthwhile experience. I would like to thank the outgoing President, Julie Christmas, who moves in to the role of Immediate Past President. I’m also grateful for the support of BIALL Council and the wider membership. I look forward to upholding BIALL values and continuing the association’s work with colleagues’. Outgoing President Julie Christmas added, “I am delighted to be handing over the Presidency to Claire whom I've enjoyed working with immensely over the her years of involvement in BIALL. It's important that we reflect the range of sectors in which our members work so I look forward to seeing how Claire's perspective as an academic liaison librarian enhances our activities”.
