CASE STUDY / PAST PERFORMANCE Supporting government agencies missions How a solutions integrator addressed challenges to successfully meet their program commitments Introduction: In the government technology solutions domain, securing transformation programs is a pivotal step. Our client, a respected technology solutions provider, excelled in this aspect with contracts from various departments like Energy, Health and Human Services, and Treasury. However, the hurdle of recruiting the right talent loomed large.   The Challenge: The offshore recruiting firm initially chosen to manage costs, unfortunately, proved to be a bottleneck. They lacked the required expertise in sourcing talent for specialized government projects, had inadequate understanding of the geographical aspects affecting job site accessibility, and their operational pace was less than satisfactory. Our Introduction and Custom Solution: When we were approached, the discussions began around contingent placement services. Yet, as we explored further, it was clear that our client was seeking a more strategic alliance. They envisioned us as an extension of their team, preferring predictable fees over the erratic nature of placement charges, and required support not just for immediate billable positions but also for foresighted proposal candidate sourcing. Understanding their needs, we devised a custom Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) service, with a dedicated account manager and recruiters assigned exclusively to them.   The Implementation: Weekly priority reviews were scheduled between our Account Manager (AM) and the client's HR Director. Following these reviews, the AM communicated the priorities to the recruiters and planned sourcing strategies accordingly. This regular communication underscored our commitment to aligning with the client's evolving needs. Our client could now view candidate submissions, provide feedback, and track key metrics through a dedicated portal. With an average of 15 job requisitions monthly, our team carefully curated 5-7 candidate profiles every week across a variety of roles, from IT to Project Management, catering to varying levels of security clearances, showcasing our adept understanding of government sector recruiting challenges.   Conclusion: This journey transformed a recruitment challenge into a strategic alliance, ensuring that for every governmental project won, there was a ready team of adept professionals to take it to fruition. This isn’t just a case of successful recruitment outsourcing; it’s a testament to what tailored solutions, clear communication, and a client-centric approach can be achieved in delivering resilient and successful government technology projects.
