Lillian Adams easily explains what traits an individual needs to be successful at BD. She explains, “There are four elements that I look for in job satisfaction: 1) Do my values align with the company? 2) Do I enjoy performing the actual work? 3) Does the company have a clear and compelling purpose in the world? 4) Do I fit in with the culture? I enjoy working with our customers. My work at BD completes me and I love that. I believe that one must feel as if they belong and can bring their authentic self to work every day. When Michelle Tuckfield is asked about what advice she would give to others thinking about a new role within BD, she quickly calls out: Be kind to yourself. She describes her journey by sharing, “Whenever I’ve stepped into a new role at BD, I’ve had to gently remind myself that I’m leaving a role where I was at the top of my game and a trusted advisor and that I will have a ton to learn. It’s almost like you revert back to an 18-year-old with little knowledge of the work world and it’s ok. Meet Banisha Prinja, a senior software engineer at BD for the past four years. Banisha collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions that advance the world of health. As a Society of Women Engineer (SWE) Global Ambassador for three consecutive years, she has fostered global collaboration and made valuable connections. Donatella says throughout her time at BD, she’s had the benefit of understanding both the marketing and the sales side of BD products and solutions in the Italian market. Donatella says, “I spent 25 years in marketing here and that allowed me to connect with R&D, Project Management, and a host of teams to understand how best to market our solutions. But when I moved over to sales, that’s when I really understood how our products serve our customers and the end patient in real-life. Dave Toth vividly remembers his first week at BD in the Summer 2022. It happened to be the same week his mom started her first round of chemotherapy for cancer. “She snapped a picture of the BD Alaris™ Infusion System while sitting in the doctor’s office and I kept thinking how critical that system is for the healthcare industry overall – for hundreds of thousands of people around the world and it confirmed why I came to BD in the first place – to help contribute to advancing the world of health™,” Dave shared.
