Managing Partner, Avoca Search & Consulting

I am delighted to announce that Eileen Curl and Selena Dickherber will be joining the Avoca Search team. Their long and successful experience in physician search allows us to expand our services beyond executive search and interim management to better meet our client’s needs. Eileen comes to Avoca Search with over 25 years’ experience in a leading healthcare recruitment firm focused on physician recruitment. As a team, Eileen and Selena have placed over 550 physicians, clinical leadership and APPs. They have experience across all types of healthcare organizations from small single-specialty groups, community hospitals to academic centers, and large multihospital integrated delivery systems.     My first introduction to the physician recruitment world was in 1998. I had been with TravCorps since 1994 who just acquired Cejka & Company, at that point one of the leading physician search, executive search and consulting companies. Initially part of the integration team, I was given the opportunity to move to Cejka as the Vice President of Physician Search for the Northeast. I moved to St Louis supposedly for a year to learn the ‘Retained way” and found that I loved the Midwest. Over the next 11 years, I met with 100s of health systems and medical groups throughout the US discussing, advising, and assisting them in attracting provider talent.  Many of those clients are still my friends and now Avoca clients.  From my early days at Cejka, I worked with Eileen and soon after Selena on an array of clients from single specialty groups to large integrated multispecialty groups. Eileen was consistently a top performer and someone I entrusted to always do an outstanding job for our clients. They make a phenomenal team.  Welcome Eileen and Selena, we are excited that you chose to join Avoca and reunite a talented team.
