We are excited to celebrate Shawn Healy's work anniversary with AVIAN! We are incredibly grateful for his unwavering support and dedication to AVIAN over the past 15 years. This is a huge milestone, and we are thrilled to celebrate it ✨ Shawn is one of AVIAN's UAS Air Vehicle Pilots for the Persistent Maritime Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program (PMA-262). Back in 2009, Shawn first heard about AVIAN through Jeff "Woody" Danielson and John "Thumper" Treutler; both were his former squadron mates. His first position with AVIAN was Senior Operations Analyst for NAVAIR 4.6.5.3 supporting PMA-261 Heavy Lift Helicopters, specifically the CH-53K. Shawn joined the team shortly after preliminary design review and supported avionics architecture, flight management systems, cockpit design, flight display design, and more. 🚁Following his work with PMA-261, Shawn became a Chief Test Pilot/Air Vehicle Operator of the MQ-8 Fire Scout and was instrumental in its initial testing. Shawn, we look forward to many more years of shared success! Congratulation 🎉 🇺🇸 #workawesome #workanniversary #theavianway

Earlier this month, AVIAN's CEO Kevin Switick and Senior Systems Engineer John DeHart attended the 34th Annual INCOSE International Symposium in Dublin, Ireland, where John presented his innovative work on leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) for direct interaction with SysML v2. John's paper delves into how LLMs can simplify the manipulation of system models, democratize the design process, and introduce a new era of efficiency in systems engineering. His insights highlight the potential for LLMs to bridge complex system models and user-friendly interfaces, fostering a more accessible and accelerated design approach. And while they were there, Kevin and John made sure to experience some local culture, including a well-deserved Irish pint! 🍻 Looking forward to bringing these innovative ideas back to AVIAN. #AVIAN #INCOSE2024 #SysMLv2 #LLMs #Innovation #SystemsEngineering #Dublin #ThoughtLeadership

The AVIAN beer club is back! 🍺🎉This week, several beer enthusiasts got together with their favorite 6-pack in hand and exchanged with members of the club. The beer club is like an adult show and tell, but you get to leave with 6 new beers to try. Cheers to many more important beer meetings! 🍻 Afterwards, more of our AVIANites joined us at the AVIAN HQ for our quarterly Grumpy's bar opening, where we enjoyed some good company, good beer, and Mario Cart! ✨🚙Thank you to all who came out, we can't wait to see everyone at the next one! #workawesome #theavianway
