The Latino workforce is growing rapidly, projected to account for over 78% of new labor force entrants from 2020 to 2030. That’s why we hosted a conversation in San Antonio, TX, between our #AffiliatesUnidos and local and national leaders to address job creation and economic empowerment. Key speakers included Manny Lamarre, Deputy Assistant Secretary at U.S. Department of Labor; Emily Ruskin, Senior Policy Advisor at the CHIPS Office; and Luis Acuña, Regional Director of NTIA at U.S. Department of Commerce. They discussed the impact of programs like BEAD and the CHIPS and Science Act on job opportunities. To build an inclusive economy, cross-sector partnerships and collaboration are crucial. We remain committed to enhancing job opportunities and addressing community needs by developing digital skills and leveraging apprenticeships. #UnidosUS

🌟 "Health and Wellbeing for the Whole Family" 🌟 At a recent event hosted by AVANCE-North Texas, Monserrat and other speakers discussed vital topics such as Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), Mental Health First Aid, and the importance of maintaining mental health. They explored protective factors outlined by the CDC and how programs like PCEP, FBC, and HOPES are making a significant impact. AVANCE thanks all the PCEP families who actively participated with questions and comments. Together, we are learning to combat the stigma associated with mental health, understand the negative impact of ACEs, and appreciate the protective factors. 🌱 We hope these discussions continue to light the path to a healthier future for our families, reinforcing the positive impact of our two-generation approach. Thank you for being part of this journey towards well-being! #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth
