Did you know that we partner with Austin Community College’s vet tech program? Each semester, the program trains future techs by offering veterinary care to shelter pets. To keep them safe, any dog or cat not adopted or fostered after each semester comes to us! 🐾 10+ pets arrive July 25th, but we’re working to line up fosters or adopters before then so that they never have to step paw in the shelter. At APA!, we know that our community prioritizes lifesaving, we wouldn’t be the organization we are today if this weren’t true. Austin, we have an URGENT ask of you. Yoga brought more than peace to one family—it brought them a new kitten! At an Austin Pets Alive! Kitten Yoga event, a mom and her little one found their purr-fect match. 🐾 As we approach National Adoption Week, we're reminded that kitten season has filled shelters to the brim. Why stop at one when you can double the love? Adopting two kittens means they always have a playmate, reducing loneliness and encouraging healthier, happier growth. It’s crucial to adopt during this time, not just kittens but pets of all kinds. 🐱🐶 Join us from July 15th to the 21st at your local PetSmart to adopt your best friend!
