IAQ News! 🎉 The bipartisan Indoor Air Quality and Healthy Schools Act was introduced today by Reps. Paul Tonko and Brian Fitzpatrick. The bill would strengthen efforts to improve IAQ including through adoption of standards such as those developed by ASHRAE. A Healthy Schools program is also included in the legislation. 🤝 Supported by ASHRAE and other organizations, this bill references ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 62.1-2022, Ventilation and Acceptable Indoor Air Quality! M. Dennis Knight, 2024-25 ASHRAE President, emphasizes: "This legislation provides much-needed support for improving indoor air quality, essential for health, productivity and positive learning outcomes.
