Arya surveyed 6,000 people— 90% of them were successful in making novelty a habit as a means to deepen intimacy in their relationships. Sexual ruts in your relationship are normal. This doesn't mean you're incompatible or need to switch up partners. Adding novelty and sexual exploration to your intimate experiences is an easy way to triumph over those "periods of sexual boredom". Our favorite discovery in the State of Intimacy Report? Arya users who reported chronic pain or discomfort during sex loved experimenting with eroticism. Yes! Trying creative positions, new toys, or exploring sensation play gave more opportunity for pleasure – skipping all those common barriers or discomforts these subscribers had during “traditional” penetrative sex.
