About us
All Our Kin trains, supports, and sustains community child care providers to ensure that children and families have the foundation they need to succeed in school and in life. Through our programs, child care professionals succeed as business owners; working parents find stable, high-quality care for their children; and children gain an educational foundation that lays the groundwork for achievement in school and beyond. Our vision: child care providers will have access to training and education opportunities, livable wages and benefits, and respect for a hard job done well. Parents will be honored and supported in their difficult work of caring for children, and have access to safe, loving, educational child care options when they go to work. And children, regardless of where they live, their racial or ethnic background, or how much money their parents earn, will begin their lives with all the advantages, tools, and experiences that we, as a society, are capable of giving them. We support more than 600 family child care educators who have the capacity to serve more than 3,600 children in New Haven, Bridgeport, Stamford, Norwalk, Danbury, and the surrounding communities, as well as in New York City.

Excited for Beam, Formerly Edquity's partnership with Home Grown and Thriving Providers Project, ensuring more home-based providers receive the financial assistance they need to provide care in the communities they serve! #familychildcare #ThrivingProviders #WhenProvidersThrive #InHomeChildCare
We’re excited to announce our partnership with Home Grown and Thriving Providers Project to administer $4M in direct cash payments to over 600 Family, Friend and Neighbor (FFN) caregivers and newly licensed Family Child Care (FCC) home-based providers. Home-based child care providers care for approximately 11.5 million children, with 60% of them aged 0-5 years old. Home-based child care providers are also the preferred child care provider for a variety of families, including Black and Latinx families, rural families, families with nontraditional or unpredictable work schedules, and those with low incomes. Despite their essential role, home-based child care providers often face significant financial hardships, with 30-40% needing a second job to achieve financial stability. This financial insecurity impacts both caregiver and child well-being, as material hardships can reduce emotional well-being and undermine the quality of care. This initiative seeks to demonstrate the impact of direct cash to reform child care payment policies and influence future decisions around compensation for home-based child care providers. Beam is proud to continue to support transformative more initiatives in the care economy and to work with wonderful partners like Home Grown.
