This scholarship recognizes academic excellence and supports the recipient’s educational pathway, and was presented to a HOSA member interested in health informatics. Additionally, Health Informatics Competitors were recognized on stage as finalists in the Health Informatics Competition sponsored by AHIMA. The HOSA-100 International Advisory Council serves as a vital champion of HOSA-Future Health Professionals. Council members provide HOSA with their professional expertise, diverse perspectives, connections to local, state, national, or international resources or colleagues, philanthropic support, or other valued assistance. They promote HOSA-Future Health Professionals as the pathway for young people interested in pursuing careers in health, beginning in middle or high school and continuing into postsecondary and collegiate institutions. 🔒 AHIMA, alongside several provider-based organizations, has taken a crucial step to safeguard our healthcare system! 🔒 On June 26, a letter was sent to HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra, urging the agency to prevent future disruptions caused by cyberattacks on critical healthcare infrastructure. The letter calls for an audit of all technology systems nationwide and the provision of alternative options for provider organizations. Earlier this year, the cyberattack on Change Healthcare highlighted the vulnerability of relying on limited technology options for essential processes like claims processing.
