Agilent is pleased to welcome Sigsense Technologies, a startup that uses AI and power monitoring to help optimize lab operations. Sigsense’s algorithm is already integrated into Agilent's CrossLab Connect solution, where it tracks instrument utilization and status across all scientific assets, regardless of vendor or manufacturer. The operational insights collected show lab managers which assets are underperforming and how to optimize them. By working closely as one team, we'll extend Sigsense's AI technology even further, enabling more customers to gain more insights. Read more: https://bit.ly/3StwN1A.

🌟 Meet Our Lab Stars: Agilent Instrument Edition 🌟 A is for…. Augusto, Aurora, Ares, Anacleto, Anastasia, Ambrogio! When Daniela Gaglio from CNR and BioMetaboLab in Italy told us about their All-Star Agilent Cast from instrument to workbench, we couldn’t resist sharing: “Our GC/Q-TOF is Augusto because it is the name of a famous emperor, the LC/Q-TOF is named after the princess Aurora. The Intuvo GC/MS is Ares after the Greek God of War, Anacleto the LC/QQQ is named after the owl from The Sword in the Stone, Anastasia the LC Ion Mobility is one of Cinderella's ugly step-sister’s, and finally, Ambrogio is the workbench, named after the butler in a famous Italian chocolate tv ad.” Thanks, Daniela Gaglio from BioMetaboLab, for sharing these fascinating instrument names! We invite our community to join us in celebrating these pivotal instruments. Do you have an Agilent instrument that's a cornerstone in your research? Whether it’s “Shrek,” “Ludo,” "Johnny Bravo," "Flash," or “Augusto, Aurora, Ares, Anacleto, Anastasia, Ambrogio,” we're eager to hear your stories and experiences https://bit.ly/3Lhjlts #BringingGreatSciencetoLife #CustomerStories #MeetOurLabStars #CNR

A new application note discusses the use of hydrogen as a carrier gas for forensic drug screening using a GC/MS with the Agilent HydroInert source. The authors outline the process of translating an existing method from helium to hydrogen, along with best practices and difficulties associated with this transition. The HydroInert source was shown to increase spectral fidelity for many compounds and produce similar library match scores when compared to a helium carrier gas method using the Agilent inert extractor system. Learn more about the HydroInert source at https://bit.ly/3wBagYQ #gaschromatography #gcms #alternativecarriergas
