Women helping women! Some of our aFit team including our CEO, Julie (Booth) Phillips, Paula Raters, Kayla Miller, and Anna Murhling volunteered and had fun while using a hand saw, sledge hammer, drill, hammer, and nail gun to help build two houses for Habitat for Humanity International for two single mom's in Indianapolis. #WomenLeadership #WBE #PayItForward #WomenBuild

aFit's Owner and CEO shares career learnings/advice to Purdue women....
A big congratulations to the Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women Indiana Delta chapter at Purdue for all of the 3.75 and higher (many 4.0s) GPAs! I enjoyed speaking to my prior sorority at their scholastic recognition formal dinner. Nice job to Jessica Kofman (Chemical Engineering major) for organizing it. I spoke on 3 main topics: 1. Work Hard/Play Hard - story of my life! Focus on getting your work done and making time to enjoy people and activities. 2. Put yourself outside your comfort zone to grow - personally (e.g. ballroom dancing) and professionally (many areas)! Fear will only hold you back (but listen to your instincts - take reasonable risks)! I should have started owning my own business a long time ago. 3. Relationships, Relationships, Relationships - I love all my life long friendships and new ones too! Friendships are important for both professional and personal growth.
