❓ Did you know ❓ AACI played a key leadership role in the 2010 census by canvassing neighborhoods to promote the importance of participation, conducting ethnic media outreach, and serving as a Census Questionnaire Assistance Center. This helped bring adequate federal funds and resources to the local community. Participation rates increased 10% within AACI’s targeted neighborhoods. 📣 At AACI, we serve all members of our diverse community, focusing on those who are marginalized and vulnerable, and who face barriers to accessing health and wellness services. Our commitment to diversity and inclusion fosters an environment where all can feel safe, valued, and cared for. ❤️ To learn more about AACI's mission and values, please visit www.aaci.org/mission. #aaci #ourhistory #50thanniversary #50thaaciversary

Thank you so much to The David and Lucile Packard Foundation (@packardfdn) for the grant funding to support our AACI Asian Women's Home. In the face of ever-increasing community need, your support is greatly appreciated. AWH is the only domestic violence shelter in Santa Clara County that focuses on the Asian community, and we are one of only nine shelters focusing on Asian and Pacific Islander domestic violence survivors in the entire continental U.S. Thank you to the Foundation for your role in empowering survivors while they seek safety and healing after experiencing abuse and exploitation! AACI Asian Women’s Home serves survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking, and in the last fiscal year, we provided over 2,000 bednights of safe housing in our confidential shelter and hotels. Realizing the enormous cultural and linguistic barriers immigrant families faced, AACI formed Asian Women’s Home in 1986. Help is available in multiple languages and dialects, both Asian and non-Asian. AWH serves everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, immigration status, socioeconomic background, or sexual orientation. All are welcome! To learn more about AACI Asian Women's Home services, please visit https://lnkd.in/gtHpib2F. To inquire about services or to seek help, please call our free and confidential 24/7 hotline at (408) 975-2739 or use Live Online Chat Support at safechatsv.org. #aaci #thankyou #packardfoundation #aaciasianwomenshome #aaciawh #awh
