The League of Mediators of Ukraine (LiMU), in partnership with the the Reflective Practice Institute (RPII) and the AAA-ICDR Foundation, has launched a two-year initiative to support family mediators in Ukraine. With funding from the AAA-ICDR Foundation Diversity Scholarship Program, this project provides advanced training and reflective practice groups to help mediators navigate the challenges of family disputes in wartime. “With guidance and encouragement from Tracey Frisch, associate general counsel at AAA, I completed applications for diversity scholarship funds on behalf of the Ukrainian mediators,” says program organizer Michael Lang in a recent mediate.com article. To support the prevention and resolution of conflicts by expanding access to alternative dispute resolution.
About us
American Arbitration Association-International Centre for Dispute Resolution Foundation® (AAA-ICDR Foundation®) was established in 2015 with the purpose to fund critical projects, domestically and internationally. This effort fills important needs in the ADR community by expanding the use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), improving the process, increasing access to ADR for those who cannot afford it, and sharing knowledge across different cultures. The Foundation is a separate 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization from the AAA and is able to solicit donations and provide grants to fund a range of worthy causes that promote the Foundation’s wide-reaching mission. The Foundation is not involved in any way in the oversight, administration or decision making of the AAA-ICDR cases or in the maintenance of the AAA-ICDR's various rosters of arbitrators and mediators.

🚨NEW: We just released our updated Regional Action Plan, a roadmap to make homelessness in the Bay Area rare, brief, and one-time for those who experience it. The new plan shows what it will take to dramatically reduce homelessness in the Bay Area—and that doing so is absolutely possible. At the core is the need for every part of our region to have stronger planning and coordination while expanding 3 solutions all at the same time: targeted homelessness prevention, permanent housing, and interim housing. We also have new helpful tools! ✅The interactive Solutions Dashboard allows anyone to see the necessary mix of prevention, interim housing, and permanent housing it will take, and the associated costs, to reduce unsheltered homelessness by 25%, 50%, or 75%. ✅The Support Card is a tool to help guide and evaluate local governments’ efforts to make their homelessness response systems more effective. The AAA-ICDR Foundation is pleased to announce recent coverage of BridgeUSA in the The Wall Street Journal. BridgeUSA, a grant partner supported by our Rapid Response Fund which is dedicated to addressing and combating the rise of antisemitism and Islamophobia on U.S. college campuses.
With college campuses front and center over the last few weeks, The Wall Street Journal took a deep dive into BridgeUSA. The result was a front-page profile that ran this Memorial Day Weekend on print and digital! Since BridgeUSA was founded my freshman year in 2017, our student leaders have been working incredibly hard to transform American politics on colleges and high schools across the country. This piece is a testament to the courage of young people to advocate for dialogue and conversation at a moment when the loudest voices would have you think we are incredibly divided. And we are just getting started- the job is far from done! The hopeful majority of people who want cooperation over conflict is gaining traction, and I am sincerely grateful and thankful to be working alongside some amazing leaders and supporters to build the 21st century version of the town square. Yes, protest is important. Yes, it's important to have very strong beliefs. And no, it's not mutually exclusive to be passionate and have empathy and understanding for your fellow citizens.
