Floodwaters damaged hundreds of properties this week across parts of Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota and South Dakota as the Midwest recovers from days of intense rainfall. https://lnkd.in/gH7STncu Three days of torrential downpours resulted in as much as 18 inches of rainfall in parts of the Midwest, creating historic floodwater levels in parts of Iowa and South Dakota.

Most U.S. homeowners don’t know the policy covering their home doesn’t cover flooding, a new survey shows. Respondents in a survey out this week from Trusted Choice, a group representing the members of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (the Big “I”), also believed that have a strong understanding of what their policies covered.
