You must be able to convey some fundamentals to anyone with the brains to have the funds to potentially invest in your project: 1. Your passion for your project 2. Your understanding of the business side of the film business 3. Your project's genuine potential to return a profit with your film. Don't crowdfund or you'll spend your time pleasing too many people. Get 1-2 serious investors. Please them and go make your movie.

Don't run out of money. Budget appropriately, control the art department and stay on top of finance. All these other steps the AI has listed should come before you start not after.

During filming? The worst possible time to have that happen. Go in prepared - well budgeted with your contingency funds already allocated of at least 10%. Product Placement can be of absolute value to the film production. It serves as a win win situation for both parties. Infact, the products can also sometimes help in an impromptu improv lines here and there which can bring a fresh aspect to the film.

Altough I belive cost cutting should be done from the pre-planning itself. For budget is something you have beforehand. Yes it can be helpful.

There are so many elements required to craft a film. I encourage an abundance mindset across all facets and to look at the overall balance of how a budget might be going. Cutting inherently isn't the right answer, but maybe downsizing or re-negotiating can result in a win/win. Always ask if the final result will result the same, worse, or better. If you have made something better and also saved money, then you know you're on to something.

I would explore multiple options. But I’d first start to see what cost could be cut from production. Then if we haven’t already I’d look for some presales or gap financing depending on the amount needed.
