From the recent technology been used in many leading manufacturing industries is the availability of standby in case of failure. Routine inspections, checklist, hourly round are ways of improving preventive maintenance and increase the uptime and increasing equipment availability and reliability.

Investing in workforce training is essential. 1.Well-trained personnel in operating procedures, safety protocols, and emergency responses are crucial. 2.Continuous training programs help employees adapt to new technologies and methodologies, fostering a culture of learning and improvement. Empowered employees who understand the bigger picture contribute more effectively to overcoming operational challenges.

Discuss with entire team and list out all the problems. Make timelines for solutions and do RCA for each problem. If possible dedicate a cross functional team of 4-5 members. Ensure timely procurement and changes if required. Keep monitoring the implementations and sustenance plan.

One thing I've found that help was training individuals to be specialists. Meaning sending them to vendors to get the vendor training. This really helps with operating and maintaining the plant.

Training is essential. A training developed properly in all its phases (from the concept phase until the execution) guarantees well trained personnel; equals empowered personnel, continues improvement, proper trouble shooting, personnel autonomy, sense of urgence, and personnel following protocols in the right direction.

Some employers like employees that are willing to hit the ground running and won't require any training before they can discharge responsibilities. Employees will technical know-how may need to upgrade their skills with advancing technologies and periodic trainings will cater for such development.
