First of all, take a look at your personal brand overall. I share with my student clients all the time, it is less about what you have done but what problems you can solve that matters most! Focus on SKILLS and RESULTS (via quantitative capture) versus responsibilities and tasks. Keep formatting simple and clean. 5-7 bullet points per the last two roles is ideal and you can bookend your two strongest accomplishments (i.e. first and last bullet point per job).

The first thing is not to panic but to see the layoff as a massive opportunity for pivoting to something better. People put off leaving a current job for fear of the unknown. A layoff takes the fear and guilt away. Then it's time to relax and craft a clear plan for the way forward. I encourage the group to envision their best days ahead. If the financial state is in the red, then it's time to call in the networks promptly. Otherwise, I urge people not to rush into the next thing but Think, Plan and Act.
