I'm going to weigh in from the point of someone who has led quite a few teams. Someone is going to have to make a decision, and as the Lead it is your job to do that. Vacillating or trying to pretend like there is a democracy in action isn't actually going to help anyone. Listen to everyone, then make the best decision you can, live with it, and move on. Don't do things that are technically stupid or inconsistent with the IP, but definitely make a decision. Sooner is better.

Another team, management or maybe outside help. And finally: what cannot be helped? What is simply a problem that must be accepted as a basic condition.
