Put yourself in your clients' / addressees' shoes and think what affects them most and why they might be bothered by the change. First and foremost: if at all possible, include them in the change process. Don't assume that your clients / colleagues would not understand the reasons for the change, most do! So if you involve them, you will find better solutions and gain better acceptance of the solution.

Planning is as important as communicating. So what is planning for a facility manager? It is all about advancing change as in facilities unlike IT changes come much less often so it can be very difficult to one get the plan right and two, get it communicated. Plan should focus on the impacts, both positive and negative. With infrastructure you know outages have huge impact and broad concern. The plan needs to show you have mitigation in place and highlight how that limits impact. Finally, what is the outcome, every plan needs to show results.

Opting for be transparent is an optimal decision as it fosters a supportive atmosphere that significantly enhances the communication, comprehension, and implementation of change.

Transparency is a skill used to provide everyone with visibility in the good and the bad, the highs and the lows, the success and failure. It should be one part honesty and one part reporting that gains the respect of those who are impacted by your transparency. When being transparent you are being honest, when not you are only lying to yourself.

Acredito que uma equipe envolvida contribui muito mais para o sucesso do resultado . Através da FUP diária ou do ponto de situação no chão de fábrica conseguimos conquistar o envolvimento do time e a concentração de esforços no mesmo sentido .

Uma das formas mais eficazes de fornecer um suporte eficiente é estar presente, e envolvido com uma mentalidade de sociedade nas soluções das oportunidades.

Feedback is a critical element of any project but in facility projects it will be in valuable to keep track and catalog lessons learned, path to accomplishment, how outcomes are achieved. Use feedback to ensure things that are only going to occur every five to ten years are built and accomplished better next time. Facilities unique nature is that it serves everyone as a utility it is often taken for granted, make sure that is not the case so that everyone is appreciative of the utility that provides for everyone’s success!

En todo proceso o proyecto de cambio hay que considerar una planeación integral; en otras palabras considerar las distintas variables que puede haber como las siguientes: estar conscientes de que al comunicar el proyecto y los resultados a lograr no todas las personas se sumarán al mismo sino que va a ser de manera gradual, hay que ser claros en la comunicación y los objetivos y resultados a lograr, establecer los compromisos y la manera en la que todos se van a involucrar, proporcionar los recursos necesarios y dar retroalimentación constante así como asesoría y seguimiento durante el proceso de cambio.
