As a product manager I learned that you should examine your intuition. Sometimes it's a great source of rapid knowledge and you can find many initiation of conflicts from this source. But sometimes it's just a bias! So I think we should consider these intuitions seriously.

Understand what your partner needs and use your problem-solving skills to find an approach that brings value to both sides. For example, if there's a disagreement between the design and engineering teams about the feasibility of a feature, facilitate a meeting where both sides can express their concerns. Then, propose a compromise that meets the design requirements while considering the technical limitations, ensuring both teams feel heard and satisfied.

Listen for underlying tensions, and address issues promptly. Foster an open environment where concerns can be expressed and resolved constructively to maintain team cohesion and productivity.

Encourage each person to speak without interruption, actively listen, and validate their perspectives. Guide the discussion towards finding common ground and collaborative solutions.

Approach team members privately to understand their concerns and viewpoints. Don’t wait for conflicts to blow up; address issues as soon as they appear.

Highlighting your attention to clarity and structure can be very appealing to potential employers.

Start with a kickoff meeting to collaboratively set expectations, define roles, and establish ground rules. Use project management tools to document and share goals, milestones, and responsibilities.

Empathy is an ability to dreaming yourself as another person. This ability is very important in teams. People should learn and practice this ability. With empathy people can understand that diversity is not an issue, it's a gift and we can use it to understand people deeper.
