Tie in regularly with all your key stake holders. Know your customer needs 1st. 2nd what can you expect out of your process how much variation is acceptable for your customer. How do you optimise your part for manufacturing? 3rd how do you verify your part meets the requirements before it lands in your customers hands.

In my point of view the key element in such situations is the time and my idea would be to slow down the clock with efficient time and team management and by minimzing any potential delays caused by producing over quality. My plan would be: Define and focus on strict scope with clear cut goals Define core team and maximize productivity with parallel task execution Involve other team members, they can help in potential residual tasks that can waste time to core team Gather all inputs, define the gap, start the design with assumptions and work on getting the gaps in parallel Question customer requirements, are they all necessary? Produce the minimum required quality Adopt agile apprach and get frequent micro approvals from the customer

Time management is a critical aspect in any creative work especially when working with target. In order to balance quality and speed in product design, first and foremost, you have to prioritize tasks, break down the project into smaller steps with clear and realistic deadlines. And if necessary, reach out to your team for effective collaboration.
