Does this mean that every single person will be right and that you should immediately change things because someone wasn't satisfied? No. You have a right to your own perspective and way of doing things. But if you notice that the feedback is repeating from others, then you will want to make some adjustments to better accommodate your clients' needs. As a coach, ask for feedback from your clients at different stages of your journey with them. It's important that they feel listened to and see that you're committed to truly making a difference in their business and life.

While I wholeheartedly believe that the best answers and validation we have is already within us, when we truly listen to our intuitive voice, I also think it's important to ask our peers what their perspective is on the matter. This isn't to seek validation or to question your decision, but rather to learn and see what other ways are there that you might not be considering for yourself. Think of it as amplifying what you already have.

This is going to allow you to test new approaches and identify what works best for your clients. This iterative process helps you adapt and refine your techniques, leading to improved client satisfaction and better overall results. By being open to experimentation, you demonstrate flexibility and a commitment to continuous improvement, which are key to successful coaching.

For me there are two elements to this. 1. If you are a coach, seeking, receiving and analysing feedback is something you should be modelling. As is continuous improvement. If you don’t, it probably undermines everything you are trying to achieve with your coachee. If you want to be credible you should practice what you preach. Engaging in receiving feedback can also help you adapt how you give feedback as you have experienced what if feels like. 2. Everyone can benefit from a coach and coaches are no exception. Maybe seek a coach developer who can help you identify blind spots in your practice.
