In my experience had been long time employed in health insurance industry; the change to School based Case Management- the nurse is often only medical trained in the school- the monthly meetings, with CEU, speakers and a chat open time was a tremendous help and support system. I developed an email list of other RN's to ask questions to in time of need!

My last job I had to always be available to students, or to respond- a weekly "To Do list" and calender were very helpful to stay on task; also started to do some Zoom/Team Meetings and would go home and take meeting from my house- helped with long days and drive times.

I started a course on "Conscious Marketing" this last spring- it was an enlightening experience- I do not think Nurses overall think they need to market themselves- their job speaks for itself; as the only medically based personnel in a school- it was easy for administration to "not really know what you do" The value in adding RN to their budget in the end- despite many things I did do for them;job was funded by a Federal Grant-so admin felt ok asking to watch the lunch line! Warm body better than nothing. I will likely finish the Conscious Marketing Class fall 2024 to be better prepared for next assignment, speak up and ask for a lap top rather than outdated Chromebook- so I can keep data, files as well as Medical Management Plans.
